The Shorashim Society

By joining the Shorashim Society with a gift of $10,000 or more during the 2024-2025 school year, you become a visionary partner in the future of Jewish education at Schechter Bergen. Shorashim members empower our Kehillah through funding for scholarships, facilities, and essential programs our children enjoy each and every day. As a token of our gratitude, Shorashim members enjoy exclusive events, Explorer Level recognition on our donor wall, a full-page feature in our Commemorative Journal, and two tickets to our 51st Annual Community Celebration. The Ma'ayan Leadership Society

As a member of the Ma’ayan Leadership Society, your annual gift of $3,600 during the 2024-2025 school year will play a transformative role through funding for scholarships that allow our school to be more accessible to the greater community, enriching our school and empowering more students to thrive. You will enjoy exclusive events, Leader Level recognition on our donor wall, a full-page feature in our Commemorative Journal, and two tickets to our 51st Annual Community Celebration—where we celebrate you and your commitment to our Kehillah. The Chai Giving Society

With a gift of $1,800 during the 2024-2025 school year, you can make a difference in enriching our school and empowering our students to thrive. Chai Giving Society members receive Patron Level recognition on our donor wall and website, along with a half-page feature in our 51st Annual Commemorative Journal. Tribute Gifts

To make a gift in honor of simhas such as weddings, Bnai Mitzvah, births, or in memory of a loved one, click Make a Tribute Gift to donate in honor or memory. The Advancement Office will send a tribute e-note to the honoree or the family of the person being memorialized.
Endowment

Making a planned gift is a meaningful way to ensure the continuity of future generations of Jewish students at Schechter Bergen. Your gift to the endowment campaign may be funded through a real-time gift or pledge, as well as, through a bequest and other planned gift vehicle. Your generosity will be recognized on our Etz Haim donor wall outside of our Head of School’s office, in our annual Community Celebration dinner journal and at all Etz Haim donor society events. Customized naming opportunities are available for real-time gifts of $100,000+ and major estate gifts.

Corporate Matching Gifts

Many corporations match their active and retired employees’ donations to not-for-profit organizations, including educational institutions. Matching gifts are acknowledged and included in your total giving to Schechter Bergen. For more information, please contact your employer’s benefits office or Elisheva Mayerhoff at emayerhoff@ssdsbergen.org in the Advancement Office.

Schechter Bergen accepts donations of stock. In addition to helping the school, this may enable you to avoid capital gains and receive a tax benefit.
